Banished : Ranson (Part 2)

Well, this is just a round-up of what happened to the town of Ranson after 30 years since it was established. But before that, a quick comparison between the perfect outpost and an ordinary one, with a woodcutter around.

Town Centre

This is where the town was founded upon and it’s currently where the Town Hall and Market resides. We have an Inn to place the newcomers and also for the elderlies to move there when they are alone. The Hospital and the Church are also nearby for the townsfolk if they needed.

First Expansion

We expanded towards the northwest corner of the map in the aim of reaching the river for our Trading Dock. In the meantime, we increased the food production with these crops.

Second Expansion

This was done, southwest of the map where there were more flat lands. We needed the space for pastures and for the orchards. It is also at a point where a grid-like structure is more suited for this because we want to maximise the crop/pasture areas.

Trade/Harbour

This is really the best place to get all the work done. Every Trading Dock is working around the clock to ensure that the people of Ranson are well fed, well clothed and generally happy.

How To Expand

This is my tip on how to expand when you have an abundance of labourers during Autumn/Winter time. Let them gather everything in place before going all out on Builders.

Finally

To prove that we have won, and survived the harsh new surroundings. The townsfolk decided to build a Castle.
